Add or edit an arrangement

See also:

Arrangements are like different versions of a song, each with its own files. When you add a song to a plan, you select one of its arrangements, and the files for that arrangement and its corresponding key appear in the plan. Common uses for arrangements include:

  • Different recorded versions of a song.

  • A separate condensed version of a song you play as a closing.

  • A version for a different ministry that formats its charts differently. Even if it’s technically the same version, creating a separate arrangement allows you to keep files organized and separated.

After adding a song, you can add another arrangement or edit the original arrangement.

Add a new arrangement

You can add a new arrangement to a song from the Songs page or from a plan.

Add an arrangement from the Songs page

  1. Select the Songs page in the top navigation.

  2. Select a song title from the list to open that song page, or search for a song.

  3. Select Add below the Arrangements section in the left sidebar.

  4. Use the Name field to search for a popular recording from the MultiTracks database, or enter a custom arrangement name and select Create a new arrangement.

  5. Add the arrangement information:

    • Name: Edit the arrangement name and use the artist, style, or a ministry in your church to help you differentiate it from other arrangements when scheduling.

    • Keys: Select a default key for this arrangement.

    • Capo: Add alternate keys for importing capo versions of chord charts. For example, if the song is in the key of G, select E to import a chord chart in the key of "Capo 3 in E."

    • Tags: Add tags that you can use to filter arrangements.

    • Select files to import: Import RehearsalPack, SongSelect, and PraiseCharts files, or link to Rehearsal Mix files if the integrations are enabled. Check the Upload or link more files box to manually upload files to this arrangement.

  6. Select Submit to go to the newly created arrangement page.

Now you can add keys to the arrangement!
