Set up the PraiseCharts integration
The PraiseCharts integration allows you to import lyrics, chord charts, lead sheets, other sheet music, and even audio files you purchased from PraiseCharts.
This integration is only enabled for individual profiles, not for the entire organization. You must have a PraiseCharts account to enable the integration for your profile.
Important
PraiseChart files are available to everyone once they're imported, so only people who add charts need to enable the integration on their profile.
Enable the integration
Song editors or administrators can enable the integration for their profile by following these steps:
Select the Songs page in the top navigation.
Select the Actions button in the top right.
Choose Song File Integrations from the dropdown.
In the PraiseCharts column, select Set up.
Enter your PraiseCharts.com email and password, and then select Authorize.
Select OK to return to the Songs page.
Disable the integration
Song editors or administrators can disable the integration for their profile by following these steps:
Select the Songs page in the top navigation.
Select the Actions button in the top right.
Choose Song File Integrations from the dropdown.
In the PraiseCharts column, select Disable.
View licensed users
Select the Songs page in the top navigation.
Select the Actions button in the top right.
Choose Song File Integrations from the dropdown.
Scroll down to the bottom of the PraiseCharts column.
Select Licensed users to expand the list of licensed users.
Add or remove licensed users
The PraiseChart integration is enabled on an individual basis. To add or remove a licensed user, that person must follow the steps to enable or disable the integration while logged into their own profile.
If that's not possible (e.g., if someone no longer attends your church), you can downgrade their permissions or archive their profile so they can't import charts.
Add PraiseCharts Files to Songs
You can import PraiseCharts files when you add a new song or within an existing song. Once PraiseCharts files are imported, they are like any other files and available to other users.
Select the Songs page in the top navigation.
Choose the song where you'd like to add files.
Choose an existing arrangement from the left sidebar or select Add to create a new one.
Select the ➕ plus button in the Files section.
Select the Integrations button in the popup.
Select the PraiseCharts tab.
Choose which PraiseChart arrangement you want to link to this arrangement. You can:
Use the search field to look for a specific song or arrangement from the PraiseCharts database.
Any files you've purchased will be listed in the Purchased section.
Other song versions are listed in the Available section, along with a link to purchase them on PraiseCharts.
Select the ➕ plus icon next to the arrangement you want to link.
Check the boxes next to the purchased file types you want to import:
Chord Chart + Lyrics & Chords: Import the TXT chart and lyrics file into the Lyrics & Chords editor, which allows you to edit the text and transpose the file for any key you add.
Arrangement Files/Key Files: If the PraiseChart file contains multiple keys, they are added as separate files and listed in the appropriate key.
Important
Some older PraiseCharts PDF files will still be imported as one PDF that includes many keys in that one file. Contact PraiseCharts for help with this.
Orchestration (All Parts) is one PDF with all Instrument parts included.
Orchestration is for a specific key, and it will get the file in that key and split all the instruments into their own files!
Chord Chart: This is a non-editable chord chart PDF and file in a specific key.
Select Submit.
