Set up plan templates
Plan templates help you work faster by saving a snapshot of commonly used plan items and notes. After creating a template, you can import or export it to a new or existing plan.

Create a new plan template
Create a plan template and add commonly used service elements as plan items. Template pages look similar to individual plan pages, but don't include service times or dates.
Select the Plans page in the top navigation.
If you have multiple folders, select the folder that contains the service type you're working with.
Select the ⚙️ settings icon to the right of the service type you're working with.
Choose Templates from the dropdown to open that service type's templates.
Select Add template in the top right.
Enter a name for your new template in the text field that appers.

Choose a name that indicates when your template should be applied (e.g., "Sunday Service Template," or "Communion Sunday Template").
Press
Enterto save and open your new template.Select the Order tab at the top of your template.
Select Add in the top right.
Choose an option from the dropdown to add a regular plan item, header, or song/media item to your template.
Enter your item's details in the editing sidebar that appears.
(Optional) Select Add leader in the Item leader/Song leader section to assign a position to lead this item or song. If you choose a position, anyone scheduled for that position on the plan where this template is applied will be assigned as the item or song leader.
Select the X in the top left of the editing sidebar to save your changes.
(Optional) Select Add in the Notes section on the left to add notes that pertain to any plans where this template will be applied.
Edit a template
Select the Plans page in the top navigation.
If you have multiple folders, select the folder that contains the service type you're working with.
Select the ⚙️ settings icon to the right of the service type you're working with.
Choose Templates from the dropdown to open that service type's templates.
Select the name of the template you want to edit.
Edit your template's details:
To rename the template, select the current name in the top left and enter a new name. Press
Enterto save your changes.Select Actions in the top right to export/copy this template, clear the order, delete this template, or view a list of collaborators.
Select the Order tab to edit the service order, or select the Teams tab to add scheduled team members and needed positions to your template.
Use the Notes section in the left sidebar to add or edit notes that pertain to the whole plan. Notes added to this template will appear in any plans to which the template is applied.
Once you exit the template, your changes are automatically saved.
Once you've finished editing your template, you can import it to a plan!
Important
There's no way to add times to a template. When you create new plans using a template, service times are automatically created according to your service type's frequency settings.
Delete a template
Warning
Templates cannot be recovered once they're deleted. However, you could export a plan where you previously imported the template to get some of the information back.
Select the Plans page in the top navigation.
If you have multiple folders, select the folder that contains the service type you're working with.
Select the ⚙️ settings icon to the right of the service type you're working with.
Choose Templates from the dropdown to open that service type's templates.
Hover over the template you want to delete and select the red ⊖ minus icon that appears.
