Adjust localization settings

See also:

Organization administrators can adjust the time zone, country, and time and date format for the church's main campus at any time from the Localization tab. If you have other campuses, add their information on the Church Campuses tab.

You can also set your currency from this tab if Giving or Registrations hasn't been set up yet; however, once it is set up, it can't be changed.

To adjust your account's localization details:

  1. Select the product name in the top left corner and choose Account settings from the dropdown.

  2. Select the Organization page in the top navigation.

  3. Select Localization on the left.

  4. Use the dropdowns to choose the settings for your main campus. When these settings are changed, all products will be updated.

    • Time Zone: Select your time zone.

    • Country: Select your country.

    • Time Format: Select 24-hour clock or 12-hour clock format.

    • Date Format: Select Month/Day/Year or Day/Month/Year format.

    • Currency: Planning Center supports USD, CAD, AUD, and NZD currencies. If your currency is not supported, you will be prompted to select a supported currency during the sign-up process for Giving.

      • The currency set up here will be the main currency for people giving to your account. You can change that currency in Registrations on a per-signup basis, but you can't change the currency from the Localization tab in Account settings.

      • Only USD, CAD, AUD, and NZD currencies are currently supported for Planning Center.

      • If you set the currency for your account and later need to change it, contact Planning Center Support.

      Important

The currency that you set here does not change your billing currency. All billing payments must be paid in US dollars.

  5. Select Save changes.

Adjust grade list

Planning Center uses a Pre-K through 12th Grade structure by default. If you live in a place that uses a different grade structure, you can adjust it to fit your needs in the Grades section. Changes made here will affect all areas in your account where grades are available.

  1. Select the product name in the top left corner and choose Account settings from the dropdown.

  2. Select the Organization page in the top navigation.

  3. Select Localization on the left.

  4. In the Grades section, choose your preferred grade format.

  5. (Optional) Check the Include Transitional Kindergarten (TK) box if you'd like to include TK in your grade list.

  6. Select Save changes.

  7. Review the changes to your account's grade list.

Changes in red indicate that a group of profiles' grades will become unassigned with this adjustment. Changes in green indicate additional grade levels that will become available to assign to profiles. New grades will not be assigned to unassigned profiles automatically.

  8. Select Update grades.

Tip

Additional grade lists are available for Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. To access these lists, change your account's country in the Localization section.

You might find it helpful to use a different grade list in these scenarios:

  • You are located outside of the United States, and your local grade structure differs from the default.

  • You are located in the United States, but your state has Transitional Kindergarten.

  • Infants and toddlers at your church are broken up into groups based on age.

  • You want to assign kids to locations in Check-Ins and assignments in Registrations based on grade filters, not just age.
