Manage app settings
Customize your Music Stand experience by managing the app's settings. The available settings vary by device type.
Manage settings on iOS
To open the settings page on an iOS device:
Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left to open the sidebar.
Tap Settings in the bottom right of the sidebar.
Adjust the settings in each section:
Plan: Choose to show song information (BPM/Meter and sequence), item descriptions, and whether to allow the screen to sleep while viewing the order of service. The Show Song BPM/Meter setting is toggled on by default.
PDF: Adjust your PDF viewing options, such as the scrolling direction, zoom preferences, whether to hide/show the status bar, and preview options.
Control: Configure input settings for an external pedal or MIDI device. Check out the article on how to use an external pedal for more details.
You can also choose to use facial gestures to turn pages.
Cache: Clear cached (temporarily stored) data from the app if you need to free up space on your device.
Session: Toggle how your Music Stand can communicate with other devices.
Important
Unless you're troubleshooting with our Support Team, please leave these toggled on.
Second Screen: Choose to connect a second screen, such as a confidence monitor, to mirror your Music Stand display.
Open Source: View information about how Music Stand was created, or read about Planning Center's privacy policy.
PencilKit Settings: Choose whether to enable Apple PencilKit.
Manage settings on Android
To open the settings page on an Android device:
Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left to open the sidebar.
Tap Settings in the bottom right of the sidebar.
Adjust the settings in each section:
Plan: Choose to show song information (BPM/Meter and sequence), item descriptions, and whether to allow the screen to sleep while viewing the order of service. The Show Song BPM/Meter setting is toggled on by default.
PDF: Adjust your PDF viewing options, such as the scrolling direction, zoom preferences, whether to hide/show the status bar, and preview options.
