Organize media with tags

Tags allow you to filter media items to meet your own customized criteria, such as media that are only used in a specific ministry.

Important

You must have media administrator permissions to create media tags.

Create media tags

  1. Select the Media page in the top navigation.

  2. Select the Actions button in the top right.

  3. Choose Edit Tags from the dropdown.

  4. Select the Add tag field in a tag group to create a new tag.

  5. Select the ➕ plus icon to add the tag to the group.

  6. Select Add Tag Group to create a new tag group.

Assign media tags

  1. Select the Media page in the top navigation.

  2. Select a media item from the list

  3. Select Add in the Tags section.

  4. To add a tag, start typing the name of the tag and select it, and or select a tag group to see its tags.

    To remove a tag, select the X next to the tag name.

Filter using tags

  1. Select the Media page in the top navigation.

  2. Select Filter in the top left to expand the filter menu.

  3. Select the Tags tab.

  4. Choose any combination of tags or tag groups from the dropdowns to filter the media list.

Bulk edit tags

You can add or remove tags from more than one media item at a time using bulk editing.

  1. Select the Media page in the top navigation.

  2. Hover over the media items that you want to edit and check the boxes that appear.

  3. Select the ✏️ edit icon at the top of the list

  4. Select the Add Tags or Remove Tags fields to display the available tag groups.

  5. Select a tag group, then select a specific tag.

  6. Select Update Media when you have selected all the tags that you want to add or remove.
