Create stage layouts
Stage layouts allow you to make a diagram of where people and items should be on your stage. You can create a layout using a default template or set up your own!
People whose general permissions are set to administrator can create and edit new layouts. Folder administrators and editors can only edit layouts.
Create a new layout
Add a layout to your plan so team members know how the stage should be set up!
Select the Plans page in the top navigation.
If you have multiple folders, select the folder that contains the service type you're working with.
Select a plan where you'd like to add a stage layout.
Select the Add button next to the Files section in the left sidebar.
Select Stage Layout from the popup.
Select one of the default template options.
Select the People tab to add team members to the layout.
Select a team member's name to add them to the stage.
Drag and drop their label to reposition them on the stage.
Select a person's label from the stage to open their label options. You can change their label color, toggle the label type, or remove them from the stage using the 🗑️ delete button.
To add a team to the People tab, select Add Team. You can choose one of the teams that are scheduled on the plan.
To hide a team from the People tab, select the dropdown button next to its name and choose Hide Team.
Select the Objects tab to add objects, such as instruments and gear, to the layout.
Select an instrument or gear icon to add it to the stage.
Drag and drop the icon to reposition it on the stage.
Select an icon from the stage to open additional options. You can change the icon's color, size, and rotation, or you can flip the icon. Select the 🗑️ delete button to remove it from the stage.
Select the ✏️ edit icon next to the layout's name to rename it.
Select the back button at the top left to return to the plan. Your new layout will be available as a downloadable PDF in the Files section.
Change the default style
When setting up a stage layout, you can change the default style for your team labels and object icons!
To change the default style for a specific team's labels:
Select the People tab from the stage layout editor.
Select the dropdown arrow next to the team's name.
Choose a default label color or label type (Name, Small Name, or Initials) for this team.
To change the default style of your object icons:
Select the Objects tab from the stage layout editor.
Select the dropdown arrow next to the Instruments or Gear section header.
Choose a default color for this icon type.
Edit or delete a stage layout
To edit or delete a stage layout:
Select the Plans page in the top navigation.
If you have multiple folders, select the folder that contains the service type you're working with.
Select the plan that contains your stage layout.
Go to the Files section on the left sidebar.
Hover over the name of the stage layout.
Select the ✏️ edit icon to edit it or the ⊖ minus icon to delete it.
Warning
Stage layouts cannot be recovered once they're deleted.
Create custom layout templates
Create a custom template to match your specific stage or room! Templates can be shared across multiple service types so that any plan can use the same layout with different elements.
Select the Plans page in the top navigation.
Select a plan to which you'd like to add a layout template.
Go to the Files section on the left sidebar and select Add.
Select Stage Layout from the popup.
Select New Template.
Enter a name for your new template.
Upload an image file. This can be a picture or a drawing of your space.
Select Add Template.
Tip
Use the image sizing guide to upload the right size and file type.
Once the image is uploaded, the new template will show in the list of templates, and you can use it to create a new layout.
