Create a signup
If you have upcoming events or other opportunities for people to get involved, use a signup to help you collect all the needed details, information, and payments.
Important
Only non-deductible payments can be collected in Registrations. Tax-deductible donations can be collected in Planning Center Giving or another donation management program.
In Registrations, select Signups in the top navigation.
Select the New signup button on the right.
Enter a name for your signup.
Choose what you are creating a signup for:
Select An ongoing program or opportunity to create a signup without a date.
Select An event on a specific date to add a start date and time, and an end date and time. Check the All day box if the event takes place over a whole day.
Choose the features you need for your signup:
Select Named Attendees to create a signup that collects details from all individuals through questions and add-ons.
Select Simple Count to create a signup that only collects a headcount of people attending.
Select None to create an announcement for an event taking place that appears alongside your other signups.
Tip
Events without registrations can be published using Calendar. Unlimited events are included with a free subscription.
Choose a currency to use for your signup.
Registrations administrators currently have access to USD (United States Dollar), CAD (Canadian Dollar), AUD (Australian Dollar), and NZD (New Zealand Dollar).
While Registrations also supports the EUR (Euro), GBP (Great British Pound), JPN (Japanese Yen), and ZAR (South African Rand), you must contact Planning Center Support to have those currencies added to your account.
Important
Stripe cannot pay out in ZAR, but you can collect payments in ZAR and set payouts to a different currency.
Select Create signup to go to the Configuration tab, where you can make changes to the rest of the signup's settings.
Some settings will be set by default, including:
Church Center availability will be set to Do not include (direct link only), meaning it can only be accessed by someone you share the link with. This is especially helpful while you adjust the details of your signup and test it yourself.
The Registration status will be set to Open, which allows you and anyone else with access via the shared link to register.
