Set up event templates
Some events happen sporadically, and you already know which rooms and resources they'll need. Instead of duplicating another event, create an event template that can be applied whenever you create a new event.
Only event administrators can create event templates.
Create a new template
Select the Events page in the top navigation.
Select the ⚙️ settings icon in the top right.
Select Event templates from the left sidebar.
Select + New template in the top right.
Enter a name for the new event template.
Select Create new template.
Add your event template's details in the corresponding fields:
Enter a description for your event template in the text field.
Calendar: If your organization uses multiple calendars, choose which calendar to assign to events created using this template.
Tags: Search for any tags you'd like to automatically apply to events created using this template.
Tip
Add any required tags now to avoid having to fill them in later.
Location: Add a location to automatically apply to events created using this template.
Rooms & Resources: Search for rooms and resources you'd like to add to events created using this template.
Tasks: Choose whether to connect a task list template to events created using this template.
Select Save.
Edit a template
Select the Events page in the top navigation.
Select the ⚙️ settings icon in the top right.
Select Event templates from the left sidebar.
Choose a template name from the left sidebar to open that template page.
Select Edit in the top right to edit the event template details.
Select Save in the bottom right of the page to apply your changes.
Delete a template
Select the Events page in the top navigation.
Select the ⚙️ settings icon in the top right.
Select Event templates from the left sidebar.
Choose a template name from the left sidebar to open that template page.
Select Delete in the top right.
Select Delete template in the confirmation pop-up to permanently delete this template.
Create an event using a template
To create a new event, start with the template that best fits your event type!
Select the Events page in the top navigation.
Select New event in the top right.
Add the event name, event owner, date, and recurrence pattern (if needed).
Select a template from the Event template dropdown.
Add the description, location, Church Center visibility status, and any required tags.
Select More options in the bottom right of the pop-up to verify the requested rooms and resources before saving the event.
If the requested rooms or resources include questions, answer the required questions.
Select Save to finish creating the event.
