Search in Planning Center
The search bar at the top of Planning Center is a powerful tool for finding and navigating to what you need in seconds.
To open the search bar, select the 🔍 search icon at the top of the page or press the / key.
Search in Calendar
Use search to find events, event requests, rooms, resources, people, or forms.
You can search by:
Event name
Room name
Resource name
Person name
Phone number
Email address
Form name

Search type | Search result |

Events, event requests | Event name, image, next scheduled date, an icon indicating whether the event is recurring, and the form name (exclusive to event requests). |
Blockouts | Blockout name, date range, total duration of the blockout. |
Room | Room name and parent folder. If the root folder differs from the parent folder, it will also display the root folder. Select a room to go to that room's page. |
Resource | Resource name, image, and parent folder. If the root folder differs from the parent folder, it will also display the root folder. Select a resource to open its page. |
People | Person's name, email, phone number, and profile image. Select a person's name to open their profile. |
Form | Form name, status, and the number of pending requests. |
Search in Check-Ins
Use search to find events, event requests, station names, or people.
You can search by:
Event name

Search type | Search result |

Event | Event name, the next live date (for weekly/daily frequency events), the last live date (for events with no frequency), and an icon indicating whether an event frequency is recurring. Select an event name to go to the event's Overview tab. |
Station | Station name, type (manned, self, or roster), and its active/inactive status. Select a station name to go to that station's settings page. |
People | Person's name, email address, phone number, and profile image. Select a person's name to open their profile. |
Search in Giving
Use search to find donor profiles.
You can search by:
Person name
Phone number
Email address
Donor number
Search results will show the person's name, phone number, email address, household role, and mailing address.
Search in Groups
Use search to find groups, group types, or people.
Search works differently depending on your role. Group type managers and group leaders can search for groups, group types, and people, and select a group from the search results to open its page, while administrators can also select a person from the search results to open their profile page.
You can search by:
Group name
Group type name
Person name
Phone number
Email address

Group | Group name, group image, and associated group type. Each group is assigned the default Unique Groups type unless a different group type is manually assigned. |

Use search to find pages, channels, series, or sermon episodes.

People | People results are displayed in two groups labeled People and Never Scheduled: People: The people you are most likely to choose, as they've previously been scheduled and can currently log in to Services. Never Scheduled: These people are usually in the list because they're in your church's People database, but they've never been imported into Services. Choosing a person who has never been scheduled lets you import them, send a welcome email, and set any required tags. |
Song | Select a song result to be taken to the first arrangement on the corresponding song page. |
Team or position | The teams where you are a leader or member first. |
