Change a donor's email preferences

A donor can receive a receipt via email when they donate. They can choose which email receives the receipt and how often to receive them.

  • Donors can update their email preferences from their profile in Church Center.

  • Administrators can update a donor's email preferences from their profile in Giving, following the steps below.

  1. Select the People page in the top navigation in Giving.

  2. Select the donor's name to go to their profile.

  3. (Optional) If the donor needs to use a different or additional email address, select the Actions button and then select Edit profile in the dropdown to make those changes before changing the email preferences.

  4. Select the Communication tab.

  5. In the Donor's Email Preferences section, you can:

    • Choose the email address the donor wants to receive these emails under the Send email to dropdown. This option only appears if there are multiple email addresses on the profile. 

    • Choose whether or not the donor receives donation receipts for the donations enabled on the payment sources page using the Donation receipts dropdown.

  6. Select the Update button in the popup to apply any changes. 

Important

If a donor's preferred email address is deleted, the donor receives an email notifying them.
