Check in with Church Center app
You can use the Church Center app to check in members of your household right from your phone! The Check-In page of the Church Center app displays live check-in statuses and security codes for everyone in your household, no matter how they checked in.
Check in members of your household
Select Check-In in the bottom navigation of Church Center. If it's not in the bottom navigation, select More, followed by Check-In.
Choose which household members to check in by tapping their name.
(Optional) To change time/location/options, select the ✏️ edit icon next to a household member's name.
Select Save.
If you see a message that you're checked in, you're all done!
If you see a QR code, your precheck is complete, but your church requires you to scan that code at a check-in station to fully complete the check-in. Follow the steps below to manage your precheck.
Tip
Need to check in again for another service? Tap Check-in again on anyone marked as already checked in and then choose the service time.
Manage precheck
If you get a precheck QR code when checking in, you can edit your precheck and track whether other household members have checked in before scanning at a station.
Edit precheck
Select Edit precheck at the bottom of the precheck page with the QR code.
Select the ✏️ edit icon next to a household member's name to update time/location/options as needed.
Tap Save to apply the changes.
Once you're checked in, your security codes and barcodes all populate on that same page.
Track check-ins for all household members
You can keep track of which household members haven't checked in yet by tapping Edit precheck at the bottom of the precheck page.
For safety reasons, people within your household who check in at different times have separate security codes. When this occurs, an alert will appear at the top of the page. Tap a person's name to access their unique barcode.
Troubleshooting
To check someone in, the person must be a member of your household in Planning Center. Even if you're a trusted person for a child, you cannot see that child on Church Center. You must ask an administrator at your church to help you check in.
For events that require registration, you can only select household members who are registered for the event.
Pre-checking household members does not reserve a spot for them. If you scan your QR code and the location you selected for a household member is no longer available, you must choose a different location or deselect that household member in Church Center to continue.
If the station is locked to a specific location, only people pre-checked for that location will be checked in. Ask an administrator to help locate the stations you must visit to check in all your family members.
